Massage with Body Alignments

EQUIPHORIA = Equine + Euphoria

My name is Kim and I am an Equine Myofunctional Therapist who has been practicing for almost 20 years.  I treat horses in many different disciplines from Pony Club, Pleasure horses and Racehorses right through to State and National Level Polocrosse, Reining Horses, Show Horses, Dressage Horses and Showjumpers.

I have a very specific and well-practiced skill set and my specialty is muscle manipulations but I also incorporate skeletal manipulation - only when necessary for the benefit of the horse. I have actively worked and/or competed in dressage, eventing, endurance, racing (both gallops and harness), polocrosse, team penning, ranch sorting, showing and pleasure riding.  This gives me a very thorough knowledge of what is required from a horse in each discipline.

Jake & I at Unbridled Festival 2014 at Thoroughbred Park in Canberra about to go in to the Winner's Circle to do a massage presentation.

I am very passionate about teaching people.  I run clinics to help horse owner’s to understand more about their horses and how they move and what might indicate pain or dysfunction as well as to teach the owner’s what they can actively do to help their own horses.  I have been involved in kid’s camps at both Pony Club and Polocrosse teaching them about bio-mechanics of the horse and the impact of their rider’s and how to detect pain and dysfunction and what they can do to help their horses. I regularly attend events to assist horses at competitions.  I have also presented at the Unbridled Festival held in Canberra in November 2014 and I have plans to head to Equitana Melbourne in the future.  I am also passionate about equine nutrition as part of a holistic approach in helping horses to be at their very best.
